The BOLD weight room will be closed on Monday, November 18.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
As a follow-up to our communication on Friday, I want to provide you with an update regarding the recent incident involving the note that contained a possible threat.
To ensure the safety of our students and staff, we will have increased law enforcement presence on campus beginning tomorrow morning.
To expedite the entry process and maintain security, we will implement the following procedures:
Limited Entry Points: Students may only enter the building through the Bus Door on the west side or the Main Entrance on the east side.
Delayed Entry Time: No students will be allowed to enter the building before 7:40 AM.
Security Screening: All students will be screened by metal detectors upon entry.
Electronic Device Screening: Please have all electronic devices, including phones, smartwatches, and AirPods, readily available for inspection.
Bag Inspection: Please place your opened bags on the designated table for inspection.
We understand that these measures may cause some inconvenience, but the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
If you have any information regarding the origin of the note, please contact a staff member immediately. Your identity will remain confidential.
There will be confusion and frustration with this process but as the week goes on it will become easier. Hopefully we will be able to solve this tomorrow. We appreciate your understanding throughout this process. If you have any suggestions please reach out to the office at 320-523-1031.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to maintain a safe learning environment.

Help us keep our school shining!

Penny Christy's Culinary/ProStart class received measuring spoons and rubber spatulas as thank you gifts from the Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative for participating in the National Real Sugar Day Contest. The students loved the new measuring spoons and spatulas. Previously we received 50 lbs. of sugar and aprons. The class appreciates all the donations from @Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative.

Penny Christy's Culinary/ProStart class attended the Hospitality Student Career Expo at DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis. The students participated in small group conversations with hospitality professionals to learn about their career journeys and passions for the industry; behind the scenes tour hotel look at the many hotel departments and functions by DoubleTree hotel staff; cupcake decorating with D'Amico Catering; and Gnocchi demonstrations by Chef Josh Brown, Bacio Restaurant.

Mrs. Lankenau's 2nd grader's Frankencryaons! Finished last week Friday and paired with the book Frankencrayon by Michael Hall!

Mrs. Jennissen's 2nd Grader's Frankencrayons finished last week in STEAM! This art project was paired with the book Frankencrayon by Michael Hall!

First Grader's Magic Ghost Projects they made in STEAM! The reason they were "magic" was because we used salt water to bring them to life on the black construction paper. After they were done painting with the water (magic solution) we then covered it with more salt). We let them dry and dusted the salt off. This caused the paper to turn white anywhere the salt was!
