Good afternoon BOLD community,
As everyone is well aware, we had a snowstorm come up on Wednesday, and although we still have room for improvement, we did a lot better than last time. I was happy to hear that everyone made it home once again, and we are all quite proud of our bus drivers and cooks, in particular, for making it happen.
Thank you drivers (parents and bus drivers), for the courage and stamina you mustered to get those kids home safely.
Thank you cooks, for the quick pivot to preserve the hot lunch that was about to be prepared and getting cold lunches off to the pre k-6 grade students, so they had food to fortify them for wherever they were bound.
We had another steam leak below one of the kindergarten rooms this week, but that has been fixed. Unfortunately, we had to turn the boilers off in order to fix it, which resulted in some low temps in the cafeteria right before lunch. However, we got them back up and running, and, in combination with all the warm bodies shuffling into lunch, the temps came back up throughout lunch.
Meanwhile, the renovation rages on, and construction continues. I have attached some photos sent to me by Nexus, which also contain updates in the margins.
Thank you to students, parents, and staff for your ongoing patience and flexibility as we navigate through construction and weather, continuing to move forward academically and as a community.
The Warrior Way is strong with us, and I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on at BOLD.

Let's hear it for the guys! Thank you Ethan, Brandon, and Nick for all your hard work!

Every day, you are the first friendly face in the morning and the last one to make sure our students get home safely. On tough weather days like today, your patience, focus, and care make an even bigger difference.
Thank you for braving the roads, watching out for our kids, and being such an important part of our school family. We appreciate you today and every day!

Tami, Sue, and Chris for all the hours you put in to make our students successful!
