Our hallways have been a little too quiet, and we're definitely missing all of our students' smiling faces. 😊
To help you get a head start, we've posted the updated school supply lists for the upcoming school year. Grab your backpacks, sharpen those pencils, and start checking off those lists!
We can't wait to welcome everyone back for another amazing year at BOLD! ❤️🖤

Do you care about the future of our schools? Consider serving your community as a School Board Member!
School board members help shape educational policies, oversee district finances, support student success, and represent the interests of the community.
Stop in the BOLD School District Office for an Affidavit of Candidacy between the hours of 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday. We need you!
The BOLD School Board met for a special meeting last Thursday night and approved 3 projects that will be extremely beneficial to our students and our community.
1. The condensate tank replacement for the boiler, which will prevent excessive wear and tear on pipes throughout the Olivia school building. This will also prevent steam leaks moving forward.
2. The replacement of 350' of steam pipes below the elementary wing that were causing so many issues last winter. Also, corroded sprinkler lines in the Bird Island Building will be replaced.
3. The replacement of the Olivia big gym floor, which will provide a safer PE classroom space and a safer floor for our athletes. If donations are properly secured, the new gym floor will also include a pole vault pit/plant box, which would be located on the bleacher side of the main court.
In other news, Area D (the new build in the NW corner) will not be completed until mid October to mid November, which means that we are looking into kitchen options for the first 2-3 months of the school year.
Although we do not yet have a solid plan for how we will serve food, we can assure everyone that we are NOT considering online learning as an option. THERE WILL NOT BE ONLINE LEARNING THIS FALL. Believe me, we know how stressful all of these delays are, and the last thing we want to do is add to that stress by changing our education format.
Our Food Service Director, Margaret Flemming, has been working hard to figure out solutions to this issue, and we are also working closely with Nexus to find a solution to this challenge.
In summary, we are getting a new gym floor, new pipes for the elementary wing, new sprinkler pipes in the Bird Island Building, a new condensate tank, and we will be ready to start school on September 14th, in person, with food for our students.
I will keep everyone posted on the kitchen situation.
Please contact me with any questions.
Tim
